ShARK IN THE ETHER. The day Damien hirst and i joined the crypto world.
My first artwork on Open Sea, an homage to Damien Hirst, who like me, is now also on the Ethereum blockchain. This artwork is in reference to his famous Shark in Formaldehyde sculpture titled 'The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living'. It's probably my favorite work of art.
Years ago, Damien Hirst made me want to get into art. And today I get into Crypto art with an homage to him. In the artwork, I replaced Hirst's shark with the Ethereum logo not just because it looks like a shark on it's side but because of Ethereum's fluid and tactile nature. Unlike a shark, it isn't a predator but rather an equalizer. If you notice, the two elements of the logo are suspended, yet they make slight movements. I like to think they are dancing with each other in digital formaldehyde forever.
